Avery's loving it

Avery was having lots of fun ... although it took a few minutes for Avery and jaidyn to get used to it. Once they were they were saying hit those waves and this is the funnest thing in the world. Posted by Picasa

On the lake

Cam at the camera again. Awesome picture cam! Posted by Picasa

Afternoon of fun

The kids asked if we could rent a boat after seing everyone else on the water.

$93 dollars later including gas we had an hour on the lake in a seadoo boat. Just like a smaller seadoo but safe and stable. We cruised down to the Oliver end of the lake and then played around on the waves for the rest of the time Posted by Picasa

Red Sun

We spent the afternoon at the beach hanging out. While we were there we noticed that the incoming smoke from the fires had turned the sun red. Unfortunately this picture does do the color justice Posted by Picasa

Avery and I looking at the bull snake

Cameron at the camera again. Avery really was interested in the snake. Posted by Picasa

Bull Snake

They allowed us to touch a non poisoneous bull snake. All three kids wanted to touch it Posted by Picasa

At the rattle snake show

Today we went back to the Nk'mip (pronouced inkameep) desert and cultural center.

There was some great cultural shows inside and then we saw the rattle snake show. These are the Western Rattlesnake and are an endangered species. Learned lots of cool stuff about them, their habitat etc. Posted by Picasa

Kids being crazy

In exchange for my posed picture, the kids wanted one being "silly" Posted by Picasa

Looking out at the valley

We spent about 45 minutes just looking at the scenery. All of the kids were saying wouldn't it be awesome to live in a baeutiful place like this. Posted by Picasa

"Action Shot"

Was playing around with the shutter speeds on the camera trying to get an action shot showing blurred motion.. This was the best i could do without my polerzing filter which was in the truck. Posted by Picasa

Ride on the Tornado

Cam loved it, avery wasn't so sure... once it got going she was better... Posted by Picasa

Osoyoo's

We were up here to do a geo cache. Driving we were about 34M from the cache. Unfortunately stopping here at the rest stop would have meant a 300M walk down the side of a one lane highway with the kids... while i wanted to do the cache.. common sense totally prevailed and we skipped this one until one day i can come back sans kids.

The view was awesome though. You can see the smoke from the forest fires nearby. In fact our tent as covered with ash this afternoon. Posted by Picasa

Why you listen to sales peoples advice...

When i bought the lense for the camera, the sales person in the store suggested i buy a $75 filter to "protect" the $1,000 lense. I accepted and bought it 3 years ago....

Thank god is all i can say... not sure how it happened by it was shattered. Lense was ok, and all i'm out is a $75 lense... unfortunately no one here sells the 72mm filter i need so i'll have to gamble for the next few days.... Posted by Picasa
